Hands-on

Required level of previous knowledge and experience of participants: Intermediate

Hands-on objectives:

  • Define the EVAR procedure and standard EVAR
  • Explain when and on whom endovascular aortic treatment (EVAR) can be performed
  • Explain what is necessary in planning a standard EVAR (diagnostic, materials, skills)
  • Demonstrate ways of learning and practicing the system for standard EVAR before implantation on humans (on model, on materials for non-human use, simulator)
  • Real practice case of implantation of the standard system for EVAR from the vascular access, through implantation to the vascular access closure - "Case in the box"
  • Provide participants with complete information so that after the workshop they can critically and independently make a decision about the indication and the possibility of performing a standard EVAR

Who is the hands-on for:

  • Specialists performing endovascular interventions and vascular surgeons performing open-surgical procedures, who are interested in learning and deepening knowledge about minimally invasive endovascular treatment of the aorta using interventional techniques and tools.
