Webinar

Required level of previous knowledge and experience of participants: basic to intermediate

Webinar objectives:

  • Explain why it is important to identify patients with peripheral artery disease (PAD) in time and treat them adequately with drugs
  • Introduce participants to cardiovascular risk in patients with PAD
  • Define groups of drugs that should be prescribed to a patient with PAD for regular use
  • Clarify the role of antiplatelet therapy in patients with PAD (in optimal medical therapy, after endovascular intervention and after surgical revascularization)
  • Explain new possibilities in antiplatelet treatment of PAD and the impact of new antiplatelet drugs on disease course, cardiovascular and overall mortality
  • Inform the participants about the recommendations of the European professional societies on adequate antiplatelet therapy of patients with PAD
  • Provide the participants with all the information necessary for independent selection of antiplatelet drugs and their combinations in patients with PAD

Who is the webinar for:

  • All physicians involved in the active treatment of patients with peripheral arterial disease: cardiologists, vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, diabetologists, family physicians and residents in all these specialities.
